Request System

Request

The current (as of this writing) 1.00x release of vPIP is the baseline version of this open source app. for presenting video inside a web page. New features will be rolled in from other work I’ll be doing that uses vPIP.

To support requests for new features in vPIP, I’ll be setting up a section of vpip.org for bidding requests for features. You’ll be able to state the capability, bid a price for it and I’ll respond as to whether I accept the bid. If accepted, I’ll give a date period when I’ll accomplish the request. The request and bidding can be public or private by the bidders (your) choosing.

Stay tuned for this capability which I’ll announce here and on the main vpip.org site.

  1. Hello Enric! Thanks for your great little app that’s revolutionizing the way video is offered on the Internet. First, I’m pleased to introduce our new French-Canadian weblog using vPIP : http://www.yulbuzz.tv/. Second, I would like to know if you’d be interested to add OGG Theora support in your player. Guys at Theora.org could help and I would be pleased to contribute along with other open source supporters to your effort by making a donation. Our project does not make any money yet ant that’s why I would appreciate if other vlog authors would share the bill with us. What do you think?

  2. Christian:

I’m sorry for not responding sooner. I think the comment notification got caught in my spam filter which I need to check more often. I just noticed your comment now.

Yes, I would like to include ogg Theora support in vPIP. I’m a bit busy right now, but maybe toward the end of April I can put this feature in. And any support is appreciated ;)
